Dave Milner

Dave has had a long career in cheesemaking in New Zealand. Over the past 15 years he has been involved in establishing boutique cheese factories with Whitestone and latterly Gibbston Valley Cheese.

Dave has also developed a programme for teaching cheese making to keen amateurs. This is a fun weekend programme after which you will have all the tools to make your own delicious cheese.

In 2004, when Jo was first contemplating setting up a cook school, she invited Dave up from Queenstown to conduct a cheese course for friends. As a result of this course, Karen Bish, one of the participants went home to Hawkes Bay and set up Te Mata Cheese - wich opened in November 2005. You won't all go home and set up a cheese factory but you will go home with a greater knowledge and understanding of cheese, and a heightened passion for it.

We will run several scheduled classes during the year, but these are also ideal for a private or corporate group - contact Jo for more information.
